A multi-instrumentalist, educator, and founder of Doorstep Distortion with years of teaching experience and a passion for performance. Real stage expertise is brought into every lesson, while actively performing and creating music across Southern California.

Grace
A dedicated drum instructor and touring musician with years of experience on stage and in the studio. She brings professional skill, energy, and passion to every lesson, inspiring students to play with confidence and creativity.

Andrew
An experienced guitarist and bassist with a strong background in blues and rock. He emphasizes feel and musicality, guiding students to develop authentic tone and dynamic expression.

Our Story
Doorstep Distortion was founded in Seal Beach, CA with a simple idea: bring the energy of live music and the personal touch of great teaching directly to students’ homes. We’re a small team of performing musicians who not only have years of experience on stage and in the classroom, but also know how to connect with kids and make learning fun. Based in the Orange County area, we specialize in guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals, offering lessons that blend real-world musical experience with patient, personalized instruction. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of players to pick up an instrument, express themselves, and love music for life.
